Note: These cooking grates are painted with black paint to limit corrosion during storage. Before placing food directly on to the grill bars you will need to position the grate above an open fire for sufficient time to ensure the paint is completely burnt off the grill bars.
Best cooking results are achieved by cooking over hot embers, not over flames.
The cooking grate will get very hot during use. Allow sufficient time for the grate to fully cool before attempting to touch or move the grate.
Before lighting a camp fire you must obtain the landowners permission and if conditions are particularly hot and dry consider whether it is appropriate to light a fire. It is recommended that you learn how to safely light and maintain a camp fire from a suitably experienced individual. Think safety at all times.
